The Zug Flames lost all hope of winning the ZSPL with a 3-4 loss to EHC Baar 88 on Sunday.
The loss hands the championship to HM Herti who have 19 points. The Flames sit in 2nd place with 16 points. Each team has one game left.
Mardi Gras/Fasnacht/Carnival as well as ski vacations left the Flames with only 11 skaters. Despite the depleted ranks, the Flames controlled the puck for most of the game but failed to capitalize on the many scoring chances.
Last game of the season is on March 19th vs Menzingen.
