Zug Flames in the Finals!!!

In our semi-final match of the ZSPL on Saturday night, the Flames fought back from a 1-4 deficit to tie Shocking Blue late in the 3rd period. With the game tied at the end of regulation, a shoot-out would decide the winner and the Flames came out victorious: 6-5. 

In the other semi-final match, EHC Baar beat HM Herti: 8-5.

The final game will see the Zug Flames versus HC 88 Baar and will be played on Sunday February 26th at 14:00 in the Bossard Arena, Zug. 

Flames beat Thalwil in 1/4 final

The Flames beat Thalwil in the 1st round of the playoffs and will advance to the semis. A thin Flames bench bested a stacked with juniors Thalwil bench in penalty shootout. Final 6-5.  

Semi-Final game is on Saturday February 25th in Zug.

Regular season finished with a win!

With 11 players on a Sunday afternoon in Zug, the Flames beat Menzingen 11-5 to finish the regular season in a 3-way tie for 2nd place.

The playoffs start next Saturday Feb 18th at 15:00 with the Flames facing off against Thalwil.

Winner goes to the semi-finals on Feb 25th.

Flames tie again

This has been a season of ties. We seem to be unable to finish off a tough opponent. Last Saturday was no different.

The ZFHC is in a three way battle for 2nd place with EHC Baar and HM Herti (The first 2 teams get a bye in the quarter finals.)

Last Saturday, we played HM Herti in the Bossard Arena, Zug. The result was 6-6. We were down 4-6 entering the 3rd and managed to fight back to a tie. But the win eluded us.

This coming Saturday we play against EHC Baar, hopefully we can find the right pieces to the win puzzle.
